Head of Legal Department at Media Prima
There is a certain vigour and charisma that surround him when he walks into a room. He is confident with a touch of humour, assertive but never intimidating. For first impressions, he’s always keeping it real. That is Affendy Ali Dally, then Head of Legal for MyCreative Ventures (2015 to 2019) and now Head of Legal at Media Prima Group of Companies. During his time ar My Creative Ventures, he was also actively involved in the growth of RIUH as one of its co-founders, which is now KL’s leading creative platform. In his current role, he has big shoes to fill as he leads transformation efforts to optimise legal support for the entire company in line with current business needs.
We speak to him about his sense of style, and his secrets to success in this 2017 interview.
What are some of the things you are passionate about?
Without a doubt, food and coffee. On a serious note—passion is a strong word that many would inadvertently use in vain. From experience, I think I find myself passionate about engaging in people—either in getting to know their story or relaying my life experiences to them.
What drives you to achieve the things that are important to you?
Love—as cheesy as it may sound.
What is your philosophy in life?
To embark on the road less travelled.
How do you define success?
Success is being satisfied and contented with whatever you embark on regardless of the scale of things.
